    About the program

    Summary
The community psychology program covers education programs, women's programs, programs concerning human rights issues, corporate social responsibility approaches, and other development tasks at the grassroots level in Africa.

    Details
Your volunteering program can be tailored accordingly to different groups: children in poverty, children and youth with disabilities, orphaned children, unemployed youth, women in poverty, people with HIV, people recovering from trauma, people recovering from addiction, older people, artists, teachers, etc.

Community psychology means skills and tools that empower us to reach and work with the local community through various programs and tasks.

We use our social media pages for advocacy work, and our Facebook pages have more than 50K followers.

Your internship is supervised daily by academic-level team leaders. We monitor your work with a weekly plan and report system to ensure your success in your study program.

The volunteering outcome is to learn to use and get experience implementing your education in developing country conditions with limited capacity and better understand the opportunities in a fast-growing economy.

This is an ongoing program, so that we can adjust your start dates. We accept the applications of all students and alums. Your placement is tailored according to your background, experience, and interests to empower our daily work with the communities. Your program can last from 2 weeks to 12 months. You can also write a thesis and do related tasks. The typical daily tasks include practical fieldwork, planning, reporting, and visibility.

The start and end dates are flexible and can also accommodate other travel arrangements in Tanzania. International flights, student permits, accommodation, and meals are personal costs.

You and your visiting friends can enjoy sustainable tourism, safaris, and local tours.

We need your tentative arrival and departure dates, which you can adjust, to book you in and open your account.

    BASICS:
    - All International flights are a personal cost
You do not need much money here for living costs. If you attend a safari, climb Mt Kilimanjaro, etc., budget from USD 500 to USD 1600, depending on various student options.
    - Safety: Tanzania is probably safer than your home.
    - Vaccinations: Only standard shots, such as tetanus, hepatitis, etc, that you keep valid in any case
    - Malaria: You can use preventives, but if you get malaria, it is routine to medicate here.
    - Medical services: Many clinics and hospitals have easy access, and medication standards are excellent and nominal.
    - Please take a standard travel insurance
    - Working hours are 6-8 hours per day from Monday to Friday and can be adjusted

Standard working hours are from AM 9 to PM 1630, but we may also have seminars and meetings in the evenings and on weekends. The nature of the work is to follow the time the target groups are free.

The participant will develop human rights materials and study the present legislation and its changes. Rights issues such as LGBT rights are sensitive in Africa and need to be adjourned accordingly.

Much of the work involves advocating for the implementation of the present human rights laws. The general public does not necessarily know their rights, and we advocate for vulnerable groups such as women, children, and disabled people. You will use existing tool kits for seminars and develop and create new ones.

Much time will be spent on visibility. For example, Facebook is a great tool for reaching Tanzanians. Art in Tanzania's Facebook page has 38k likes, and we can deliver information to tens of thousands of Tanzanians.
