    About the program

    This is a new School in our community that is offering quality basic education to the children at kindergarten level/lower primary before joining formal primary level.

    The program will involve the local communities and parents to work with the volunteers to construct the classroom block for the children at Twinage kindergarten.Volunteers will be also requested to contribute towards the buying of the factory made building materials like cement,stone dust,iron ...

    About the program

    The program will involve the local communities and parents to work with the volunteers to construct the classroom block for the children at Twinage kindergarten.Volunteers will be also requested to contribute towards the buying of the factory made building materials like cement,stone dust,iron sheets,metallic doors and windows,nails and timber.The contribution will depend on the number of international volunteers available.The more they will be the less they will be contributing.Secondly,the volunteers will be involved in mixing the sand,cement and water.Mixing stones,with sand and cement.They will also be involved in assisting the local builders with the mixed aggregates.Volunteers will also be involved in painting the building when completed and installation of the floor of the building.

    Typical day starts in the morning with breakfast served at 08:-09:00 am,09:00 -13:00 pm is working time ,13:00-14:00 pm is lunch time ,14:00-16:00 pm is working time,16:00-18:00 pm is leisure time like local tour and sports.18:00-20:00 is bathing time and 21:00-22:00 is time for dinner.

    Volunteers can go for an  evening walk during their free time.Secondly ,they are free to go for tours outside the project area on weekends and public holidays in Uganda.

    Minimum Age: 18 years

    In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.

    Your helping hand will be required on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 09:00 - 16:00

    50% of the fees is used for airport pickup,drop back,feeding and accommodation.50% is used to to buy the needed building materials like cement, iron bars, metallic windows, metallic doors, stone dust, paint,iron sheets.

    Airport Pickup at Entebbe International Airport

    Volunteers are picked from the airport by any of our members.however,we need to know the arrival details like time of arrival and plane details.We request volunteers to send us their photo before arrival for proper recognition.Should volunteers arriving time be late in the night,volunteers are advised to stay in a guest House or hotel at their expense.

    Accommodation

    Volunteers are accommodated with a host family to enable them learn our social cultural beliefs and practices.

    Food & Beverages

    We provide our local food and sauce.we provide water for drinking and some fruits.

    Flight Tickets

    The nearest airport is Entebbe International Airport (EBB) in Entebbe. We assist you to find cheap flights to Uganda. FIND CHEAP FLIGHTS
