    About the program

    The program needs potential people that maybe willing to work with us to construct the swimming pool in our area.We shall need multiple people to work with to construct.

    Volunteers will be working with the local community to dig the proposed swimming pools manually using locally available tools like the hand hoe, spade. Volunteers can also contribute towards the buying of the construction materials of the pool,connection channels, train the community in pool ...

    About the program

    Volunteers will be working with the local community to dig the proposed swimming pools manually using locally available tools like the hand hoe, spade. Volunteers can also contribute towards the buying of the construction materials of the pool,connection channels, train the community in pool management should they have any experience and expertise in the swimming pool project. 

    Still they can also participate in connecting the inlets and outlets of the water channels from the pool and out of the pool.In addition they will also train the community members on how to effectively manage the pool effectively and sustainably.In addition they will train the community on how to raise funds from the project in addition to maintaining the project .Volunteers will train the young ones on how to use it.


    Typical day

    The typical days work starts with break fast at 08:00-09:00 am.

    From 09:00 to 11:00 is working hours.

    11:00-11:30 Am is break time.

    From 11:30 to 13:00 is working time.

    13:00-14:00 hours is lunch time.

    From 14:00-16:00 is working hours.

    From 16:00-18:00 is leisure time

    From 18:00 to 20:00 is bathing time ...

    Requirements

    Requirements

    Minimum Age: 18 years

    In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.

    Language Skills

    You need to speak English (basic level)

    Education Requirements

    Construction but what matters most is the willingness to work and share with others at High school level level

    Cv, photo, motivation letter and certificate of vaccination against covid 19

    No restrictions. Helping hands from all over the world are welcome.

    Time Commitment

    Your helping hand will be required on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 08:30 - 16:00

    The fees will be used as follows: 50% of the fees will be used to buy some of the materials to construct the pool. 50% will be used for airport pickup, drop back, feeding, accommodation and laundry services.

    Airport Pickup at Entebbe International Airport

    Airport pickup and drop back is part of the program fees and we request volunteers to inform us before their arrival their travel plan and dates.

    Accommodation

    Volunteers maybe accommodated with host families so that they can learn our social cultural beliefs and practices. Secondly, they can be accommodated in a single or double room at our Nakyewa house.

    We serve food with drinks prepared in our Ugandan way of cooking.

    Flight Tickets

    The nearest airport is Entebbe International Airport (EBB) in Entebbe. We assist you to find cheap flights to Uganda. FIND CHEAP FLIGHTS
