    About Us
    The Location
Naifaru is the main island in Lhaviyani Atoll, situated in the northern Maldives, a popular area due to its abundant marine life. It is the fifth most populous Maldivian island with ~6,000 residents, including Maldivians and immigrant workers from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. During your free time you can relax on beautiful beaches, snorkel the surrounding reefs or immerse yourself in the lively community atmosphere. There are shops selling various general goods from ice-cream and groceries to hardware and tailoring, as well as pharmacies, a hospital, a gym and restaurants serving local and western dishes.

Join our marine conservationists in their efforts to rebuild coral populations at a local house reef, as well as enjoying spending time in one of the most idyllic places in the world. As part of a local NGO, you will be assisting us in our ultimate goal of restoring our house reef. This program is perfect for budding conservationists who want to gain practical skills and field experience, or for volunteers who simply love coral reefs and want to interact with them sustainably.

    Food & Beverages

We currently have all our meals served buffet style where volunteers can pick between the option of chicken, fish or vegetarian. Whilst our chef tries her best to create substantial and tasty meals, you should be understanding of the fact that we are on a remote island where food is not always readily available. Therefore, volunteers should approach the menu with an open mind and not expect luxury. Those with dietary requirements are advised to bring vitamins/protein powder to subsidize their diet. Whilst we make every effort to keep the spiciness of our food to a level that suits all palates, please be reminded that you are visiting the Maldives and Maldivian culture should be expected and embraced.
