Participants can also book pre-arrival video consultations with our team to discuss their placement, preparation and professional goals before travelling.

On arrival in Tanzania, you will be collected from Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport and taken to your accommodation.

Your local orientation introduces you to Arusha, local transport, safety, communication, cultural expectations and practical day-to-day life.

You will then be introduced to your engineering placement and local team.

Our coordinators remain available throughout your stay to help with practical questions and placement support.

Participants stay in one of our shared intern houses in Arusha, allowing you to live alongside other international students, interns and volunteers.

Private-room upgrades may also be available.

Living with other participants creates a social environment outside working hours while still allowing you to experience everyday life in Tanzania.

Weekends can be used to explore the country, including safaris, Kilimanjaro day trips, waterfalls, cultural experiences and Zanzibar.
