    About the program

    About the program

As an organization that works to support special needs children and their mothers, having physio sections for cerebral palsy children is of important and more than a necessity. Most of these mothers who are taking care of the children are not in the financial position to take their children for physio sections making the children weaker and weaker.

We have a physio centres that a group of mothers with cerebral palsy children have come together to run.  They help themselves by giving physio sections to their children through a trial and error means. These women are not trained but circumstances have force them into a job which should be for professionals or those learning it. We also have the mothers doing home visit also for some of their fellow mothers whose children have become too grown to be carried around.

Volunteers with the heart and passion to give physio sections are in urgent need. Volunteers will work at the physio center to guide and assist the mothers as well as going on community outreach to attend to the children who are not able to come to the centre.

Volunteers can come with hospital scrubs, gloves, sanitizers etc

     Weekends & Cultural Exchange

On weekends, basic food ingredients are provided so volunteers can prepare their own meals. Details on arrival

Volunteers are free to arrive at any day of their choice but we advice volunteers arrive on Fridays or Saturdays, for them to have some rest and settle in before volunteer duties start on Monday. ( Volunteers are also allowed to determine when they want to start upon arrival).  Volunteers can arrive at any time of the day but arriving in the evenings means volunteer will have to spend long time at the airport due to long queue because most  flights arrive in the evening. Therefore volunteers can look for flights that arrives mid morning or early afternoon.

Our representative will pick up volunteer to the his /her host family's accommodation.

This program is all year round and volunteer can extend length of stay upon arrival.
