Typical day
Your day starts with breakfast at Sierra Resort at 07:30 before heading over to The Dive Hub for the morning session at 08:30. Most mornings you'll be in the water, whether that's a reef survey, coral nursery dive or a BRUVS deployment, depending on where we are in the four-week project cycle. ..
Free-time activities

Details on arrival
Reef Buddy Philippines runs year-round with a 2-week minimum stay and flexible start dates. You don't need to arrive at a fixed point in a rolling schedule to get the most out of it.
If you're new to diving or not yet Advanced Open Water certified, we ask that you join us at the start of a Training Week, which runs every four weeks. Your first week covers PADI Open Water and Advanced Open Water, getting you ready to join the survey team from week two onwards.
If you're already Advanced Open Water certified with logged dives, you can start at any point in the cycle and get straight into project work.
For those staying longer, Emergency First Aid and Rescue Diver training becomes available from week five, and the full Research Divemaster pathway is open to volunteers staying eight weeks or more.
Get in touch before you book and we'll work out the best start date for you based on where we are in the project cycle and what you're hoping to get out of the placement.
