    About the program

    Teach English or German at a primary school and help us care for the horses, ride and train them, or learn to ride. Help at the farm and our rescued dogs and cats.

    About the program

    Teach English or German at a  Peruvian/German Privat school. Assist and support the local English or German teachers in their classes. Practice reading text and pronunciation. Singing and analysing English or German songs and playing vocabulary games. Volunteers play a supportive role by aiding teachers and students with tasks such as improving pronunciation, reviewing homework. Explaining grammar cencepts and engaging coversatios with students.

    Work closely with the local staff to engage children to learn languages, playtime activities, homework hygiene education and sports.

    Engage in games and cultural activities with students.

    Combine your spainish learning and enthusiasm for teaching  to make a big difference.

    Support the efforts in a school to give the children a memorable education with the chance to learn from international volunteers from all over the world. 

    The rest of the time you will help us to take care of our horses, ride and train them, ground work with the young horses (you will learn how to ride a typical Peruvian Paso horse and how to train them and also how to do the groundwork.)

    Help with gerneral tasks at the farm like feeding the horses, maintenance of the farm and tackle whereever there is a need of help.

    Play with our rescued streetdogs- and cats and help to take care of them. If you do have some experience, we are happy if you could help us with the ecucation of the dogs.

    -  city of Chiclayo, in the city of Chiclyo there are lots of shops, restaurants, clubs, bars and Shopping Malls.

    - Swimmingpool "las Pirkas" just 5 minutes away from the farm.

    - the beach of Pimentel with it's long pier and the Totora (dry weed) canos, the fisherman still paddle out with them to go fishing like the       Preinca cultures did. Around lunch time you are able to see them all coming back from the sea putting afterwords the fishes they cached on   thier boat for selling.


    Weekend trips:(you will be allowed to take some days off to be able to enjoy your journey)

    - Wale watching, swimming with turtles or surfing at the northern beaches (Mancora) close to the Ecuatorian Border.

    - Visit the ancient Inca temple of Chachapoyas and world's highest waterfall, the Gocta waterfall

    - Travel to the andes (Cajamarca) and take a bath in the termal bath of the Incas, visit this pretty town with his indio markets or do some hikes

    - A trip to the dschungel for jungle tours and a wonderful lagoon (Tarapoto)

    - Travel to Trujillo with it's ancient temples and pyramids of the Pre inca cultures

    Requirements

    Minimum Age: 18 years

    In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.

    We can organize a wellknown taxi driver to pick you up at the airport, hostal or bus terminal in Chiclayo. Transfer taxi costs 20 US

    - Double rooms with shared bathroom, hot shower and kitchen

    In the neighbour village there is a National bank, where you don't pay any commissions for withdraw money from the ATM, it is a 5 minutes bus ride from our village to get there.

    Food & Beverages

    Breakfast: Bread, eggs, honey,  jam, milk, home-made yogurt and cheese from our cows and fruits like mangos from our trees depending on the season
    Lunch: typical Peruvian meals
    Dinner: typical Peruvian meals/international meals

    We do provide food for volunteers with special dietary requirements, e.g. vegetarians.

    Volunteers are allowed to use the fully equipped kitchen to prepare their meals together with the other participants on Saturday evening and Sundays.

    Travel Insurance

    Details on arrival

    Any day of the week. 

    You will be picked up at Chiclayo airport. (1 hour flight from the capital, Lima to Chiclayo (CIX), or we pick you up at a hotel or bus terminal in Chiclayo. Transfer taxi costs 70 Soles (aprox. 20 US )

    On arrival at the farm, you will be shown your room and will be intruduced to the other participants, which will show you everything.
