    About the program

Agriculture is still very active in rural areas, but much of it consists of subsistence farming, with little focus on creating successful income-generating businesses. Our Eco Villages serves as both a classroom and a showroom for modern, sustainable agricultural practices, where you’ll learn while contributing to the community’s development.

We believe that conservation and community growth cannot exist in isolation. Our programs are designed to interlink, grow, conserve, and uplift, addressing challenges in a holistic way and working with the community to see the bigger picture.

As a volunteer in Agricultural Entrepreneurship, you’ll spend your time on our training farm, assisting with product development and hands-on agricultural work.

This program provides you with an immersive learning experience, working alongside a passionate team in a dynamic environment. The work is hands-on, so expect to be busy, but also have fun while making a real difference in the community.

    Holistic Approach & Community Integration

We believe in the interconnection of our programs:

    • Green Kidz: Environmental education for local schools
    • Social Enterprise: Supporting and growing small businesses
    • Agro-Ecology: Sustainable farming techniques
    • Rise Creches: Early Childhood Development
    • Eco Village: Recycling and community outreach

You’ll be fully integrated into the team, helping with the planning and implementation of our agricultural and business initiatives. You can focus on one program or combine multiple projects, based on your interests. You’ll also have the chance to explore the area during your weekends (extra cost for excursions—we can organize it for you!).

    A Bright Future
In 2023/24, our farm produced over 600 kg of fresh organic vegetables to support our food program, providing over 35,000 meals a month to our children. By participating, you’ll help continue this work and play a role in sustaining our mission to empower communities.

    Cultural Exchange & Immersion
This is more than just a volunteer program—it’s a chance to immerse yourself in local culture. Learn the Tsonga language, join our staff at church (free), and experience traditional village events (when available). It’s a unique way to connect with the local community and broaden your cultural understanding.

    Explore & Unwind
Weekends are yours to explore the stunning landscapes of the area. We can arrange excursions to Kruger National Park, the Panorama Route, and more (additional cost), so you can unwind while discovering the beauty of South Africa.

We can’t wait to welcome you into our family. Join us and make a lasting impact!
