As a volunteer, you will engage in various exciting tasks: from outdoor reforestation and maintenance, monitoring wildlife using advanced telemetry equipment, and analyzing camera trap footage, to preparing expert conservation reports, inspecting protective fences, guiding visitors on conservation efforts, and assisting in data processing. Work is organized in 10-day shifts followed by three days off, ensuring a healthy balance between effort and rest.
Important - the following information differs from the weekly schedule. The valid schedule is: The tasks are carried out in shifts lasting 10 days, followed by 3 days of rest, which facilitates a favorable equilibrium between work and relaxation.
It is important to note that, despite the nature of the work, direct interaction with wildlife cannot be assured, as the project's objective is to minimize disturbance to the animals.
From May to August, particularly, the weather can be quite challenging – experiencing sub-zero temperatures, snow, rain, and mud is all part of the journey. Nonetheless, all planned activities proceed as scheduled, providing the chance to engage with a captivating natural environment up close, even under strenuous conditions.
