    About the program

Support Babies and Toddlers in Arusha

Would you love to work with babies and young children while experiencing everyday life in Tanzania?

As a volunteer, you can assist with age-appropriate daily activities such as feeding, changing, bathing, playing and comforting the children. Your role is to support the local caregivers and provide additional attention and care where it is needed.

We support a local baby home, caring for abandoned or trafficked babies and toddlers and with another local institution supporting HIV positiv mothers and their newborn babies with tailored support programs during the day and their own infant daycare center.

The experience is especially suitable for people who enjoy working with young children and want to gain intercultural experience in a caring and supportive environment.

You will also become part of our international volunteer community, discover Arusha and have the opportunity to explore Tanzania during your free time and weekends.

Volunteers normally support the project during the scheduled daytime hours. Additional support outside these hours may only be arranged with the local project staff and is completely optional.
