Typical day
A typical day at the Child Care in Nepal Through After-School Learning program is engaging, structured, and rewarding:Morning Session (7:00–8:30 AM)

The program runs year-round, allowing volunteers to start any day that suits their schedule.

Minimum stay: 2 weeks (preferred 4 weeks for continuity with the children).

Flexible start dates are possible — early notice is appreciated to arrange accommodation and orientation.

Arrival Airport: Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (KTM)
-
Volunteers are picked up from the airport by a local coordinator and transferred safely to their accommodation in Be Here Now Kathmandu.

Orientation: On your first day, you will attend an orientation session covering:

Program overview and daily schedule

Child protection and safety policies
-
Local culture, Nepali customs, and basic language phrases

Introduction to staff and children

Tour of the center and surrounding neighborhood

After orientation, you’ll be ready to start your morning session with the children at 7:00 AM.
