Volunteer´s role

Volunteers will participate in the planning, the development and strategic marketing analysis and promotion of the volunteer programs. They will not only help the organization but also be able to learn and be part of the internal processes. 

You will work together with our communications coordinator in the planning and execution of marketing and promotion strategies:

• Participate in profile analysis and consumer behavior to establish means of promotion.
  
• Development of the promotion of volunteerism for market segmentation. 
• Updating ads in major reference sites and searching for new publications. 
  
• Find and promote tourist attractions in accordance with the season. 
  
• Search for references and partnerships with websites of interest. 
  
• Support organizing campaigns of alternative publicity and fundraising. 

Responsibilities

There is a huge variety of tasks available to communications volunteers depending on the volunteers’ interests, experience and the activities going on within Voluntario Global at the time. Some of these tasks include:

• Creating content and updating the social media sites
  
• Writing blogs for the Voluntario Global website
  
• Interviewing 
  
• Filming and edit videos 
• Taking pictures 

 What do you expect from the volunteers? 

 Volunteers have to see themselves as agents of change and promote community change through their communication. All their work should represent the organization’s main goals and values and will be a testimony and a way to promote the volunteer work.

We are hoping that all volunteers commit to our ethical photography and video campaign.

 Do the volunteers have to bring special equipment?

It is necessary to bring a camera or computer according the volunteers skills.

Availability 

Monday through Saturday afternoons. This project is available all year round.

 Requirements

1. Valid Passport & Visa: Most travelers do not need a visa to enter Argentina. Volunteers enter the country as tourists and can stay for up to 90 days. Extensions on visas are possible; our coordinators will advise you on this process.

2. Medical Insurance: Voluntario Global requires the volunteer to have adequate medical insurance for the duration of the program and must be provided with details of such insurance coverage at the time of confirming their placement.

3. Spanish Level Required: Spanish is not required, however, we recommend volunteers to work on basic Spanish skills in order to communicate with the community at the Project.

4. Minimum Stay: 4 weeks (for photography, video making, or other specific skills) / 8 weeks (for communications)
