Help shape the minds of children in the classroom and make a long-lasting impact on their futures. As a volunteer in the education program, you will be assisting a teacher in a class or teaching a subject directly, depending on your experience.
Education is the key to development. So why not teach what you know? The education program is for you to teach what you know the best. For example, if you are good at math you will be teaching math at a rural school. If you are knowledgeable about computers you will teach children computer skills.
Volunteers in the education program will help underprivileged kids in Costa Rica have a better
education by helping teach a subject.
In this program you could be helping teach: Art, Math, English, French or Science, depending on your
profile.
Depending on availability, volunteers might be placed in a school or after-school tutoring programs.
You will be working in rural schools and after-school programs where you will be part of a team of teachers. You will be:
-Teaching or supporting subjects like English, Math, Science, sports and more
-Helping teachers plan their classes.
-Helping teachers conduct environmental awareness classes and self-esteem workshops
-Help after school programs by tutoring children.
