    About the program

Kenya is a country where you can meet nature, get to know its culture and live that experience you have always sought through volunteering.

In this project you will be able to enjoy a natural and very little exploited area. You will be surrounded by fauna and flora.

You will be able to enjoy Kenya helping the community on their farms and land. The community you are going to has many shortcomings in terms of resources, knowledge, support, etc. That is why your volunteer work is so important.

You will participate in the day-to-day life of the community, making decisions with them regarding their land. You will help them achieve all their goals, and you will also be able to give them new ideas that will make their future more satisfying.

You will experience local Kenyan farming practices, help the farming community by lending extra hands and effort, as well as experience cultural immersion and engagement with the local community.

    • Get to know the culture and customs by working hand in hand with the local population.
    • Contribute to environmental conservation with your teachings.
    • Participate in the conservation of fauna and flora.
    • Enjoy nature in an incredible place.
    • Live a unique experience and meet the local population and other volunteers.

    Typical day

The volunteer’s daily routine consists of collaboration from Monday to Friday.

Our program last 4 hours from Monday to Friday, however volunteers can also plan more activities during the weekend if necessary. Most weekends are free and volunteers can plan other activities such as safaris, beach visits or have their own personal time.

A typical volunteer day begins with breakfast at the accommodation with all the volunteers. At the end, the volunteers meet with the local coordinator to organize the activities planned for the day. Since they are located in the same community, they do not have to travel far.

Throughout the morning, each volunteer contributes to the assigned tasks. There is a break for lunch and, depending on the needs, the tasks are continued or free time is available.

The schedule may vary depending on the local coordination organization.

The volunteer can visit nearby areas in his/her free time. In the evening the group has dinner and prepares for the next day.

The general activities that you will carry out during your volunteering are:

    • Mow and clean grass areas around the farm.
    • Working on plantations.
    • Planting, watering, harvesting fruits and vegetables.
    • Help with livestock care.
    • Address multiple community needs.
