- Assistance with non-clinical support during labour, delivery, helping nurses with patient comfort, observation, and basic maternity care is always welcome. Aproximately 53 births take place a month.
- No formal qualifications are required, although nursing and medical students or professionals are especially welcome and greatly appreciated! Your level of experience will detemine your involvement.
- On days off, volunteers can visit the incredible Victoria Falls, go on safari, enjoy river cruises, explore local markets, or try adrenaline activities like bungee jumping and white-water rafting.

Typical day
Volunteers assist Monday to Friday for roughly 8 hours a day in a shift.

Details on arrival
Your arrival and departure airport is Harry Mwanga Nkumnula International Airport in Livingstone, Zambia. The airport is approximately a 5-minute drive (3.6 km) from the volunteer house in the Elaine Brittel suburb of Livingstone. Collection and drop-off days are Mondays with your arrival flight landing before 17h00 and your departure flight leaving after 10h30. If you would like flights outside of these guidelines, please confirm with us so we can make suitable arrangements for your transfers if possible.
Please wait at the arrivals entrance to be collected and do not leave the airport. The team on the ground will fetch you there.
