    About the program

    Overview
You will be working in various kindergarten and childcare centres located around Chiang Mai, with the children ranging from 2.5 to 6 years old. Your work at the centre will typically be for 2-3 hours in the morning, from 09:00 – 11:33 AM.

Due to a shortage of teachers, many children’s development centres and kindergartens in Chiang Mai have up to 33 children in a single classroom, making it difficult for one teacher to give each child the attention they need. Your assistance will be crucial in helping local teachers manage the classroom effectively.

Using your creative skills, such as singing, dancing, games, and repetition exercises, you will help young children learn and practice their English, as well as introduce them to basic educational concepts. Many local Thai teachers are not fluent in English, so your help will give children a chance to practice their English at an early age and increase their overall learning experience and confidence in speaking to foreigners.

Before going to the placement, you will work with local coordinators to review the teaching lessons, materials, and activities for the day to ensure a continuous and effective learning experience for the children.

If arriving outside the pickup times you will need to pay an additional fee for any extra night’s accommodation, and a private transfer to our accommodation.
