    About the program

Many community organizations and social development projects in Tanzania are doing important work but struggle to reach a wider audience due to limited digital skills, online visibility, and communication resources. Without effective online engagement, it becomes difficult to attract supporters, donors, volunteers, and community partners.

The Digital Change Makers – Social Media & Digital Support Program aims to strengthen the digital presence of our community projects through creative communication, storytelling, and online engagement. By sharing impactful stories and promoting community initiatives, we help increase awareness and support for programs that benefit children, youth, and local communities.

Volunteers work closely with our local team to support social media management, content creation, photography, videography, graphic design, website updates, and digital marketing activities. Depending on their skills and interests, volunteers may help create social media campaigns, produce promotional materials, write articles and success stories, document project activities, and support online outreach efforts.

The program is based in Arusha, Tanzania. Volunteers may work from our office, volunteer accommodation, schools, community centers, and outreach locations where project activities take place. Arusha is a vibrant city surrounded by beautiful landscapes, cultural attractions, and easy access to national parks.

Volunteers collaborate with local staff, teachers, youth participants, community leaders, and other international volunteers. Together, they help showcase community impact and strengthen connections between local projects and global supporters.

We welcome volunteers who are creative, motivated, and interested in social media, digital communication, photography, videography, marketing, journalism, graphic design, or technology. Previous experience is helpful but not required. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a laptop, camera, or other digital equipment if available.

In return, volunteers receive accommodation, meals, orientation, mentorship, cultural immersion opportunities, and ongoing support from our team. This program offers valuable hands-on experience while making a meaningful contribution to community development and social impact in Tanzania.
