How to get there
The closest airport to the rainforest reserve is Puerto Maldonado. If you arrive in Lima, we recommend you to book a domestic flight to Puerto Maldonado. At the airport in Puerto Maldonado, you will be picked up by a taxi driver. He will drive you to a village called Filadelfia. We work with a trustworthy taxi driver. The taxi will take you to the river in Filadelfia, which takes about 1 hour. There you will be picked up by a project employee in a small boat, who will take you to the camp in about 1 hour. The total travel time is about 2 hours. The transfer from Puerto Maldonado to the camp is included in the program fee. Please make sure, that you arrive in Puerto Maldonado before 3pm. If you arrive later, you need to stay one night in town and get picked up the next day.
