    About the program

No special skills are required to join this program. What matters most is your compassion and willingness to support homeless elderly people and individuals with disabilities, helping them overcome life's challenges and experience greater joy, dignity, and well-being.

Upon your arrival, we will provide a two-day orientation and training program. The training program is designed to help you understand the nature of the work and ensure a smooth and successful start to your volunteering experience. If you are studying or working professionally in the fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or sensory rehabilitation for people with disabilities, we would be delighted to have you share your knowledge, skills, and experience with the project. Your contribution will help us strengthen and further develop our rehabilitation services for the community.

You will stay at our volunteer residence, known as the Green House. The Green House is like a hotel exclusively for volunteers, offering comfortable accommodation and all the essential amenities you need during your stay. Living at the Green House gives you the opportunity to make friends with volunteers from around the world and connect closely with our staff team.

By joining this program, you will gain practical experience in social healthcare for vulnerable people in Vietnam.

On weekday mornings, you will work in the rehabilitation room at the Da Nang Social Support Center, supporting therapy sessions and rehabilitation exercises for people with disabilities.
    You will:

    • Assist therapists during sessions.
    • Prepare equipment and materials.
    • Provide one-on-one support.
    • Help monitor participant engagement and safety.
    • Organize recreational and therapeutic activities.
Each week, you will work for this program for around 20 hours. During the remainder of your volunteer placement, you will also have opportunities to contribute to educational activities for children and well-being support programs for vulnerable individuals. These additional responsibilities will provide a diverse and equally rewarding experience, allowing you to broaden your perspective, develop new skills, and gain a deeper understanding of community development and social support. This combination of activities will enrich your overall volunteer journey and maximize the positive impact of your contribution.
