Support Children with Special Educational Needs in Tanzania

Would you like to work with children with different abilities while gaining valuable intercultural experience?

Join an inclusive daycare and primary school in Arusha and support local teachers and caregivers in their daily work with children who have special educational and care needs.

Depending on your experience and the needs of the children, you may support learning activities, creative play, sports, movement activities, mealtimes, homework and everyday routines.

The focus is on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child can participate, learn and develop at their own pace.

You will work alongside local teachers and caregivers rather than replacing them. Your role is to provide additional support, attention and encouragement according to the needs identified by the local team.

This program is particularly suitable for people interested in education, special needs, childcare, psychology, social work, physiotherapy or related fields – but previous professional experience is not necessarily required.
