As the name says, Partners For Conservation is dedicated to drive actions that are contribute to saving a biodiversity legacy. This is why, PFC vows to serve as a platform that provides opportunities to everyone from farmers to businessmen; from children to adults; from illiterates to academics; from low-income people to donors; from volunteers to professionals, to appreciate and celebrate their contributions towards the conservation of the biodiversity.

Rwanda is one of the countries with the highest density whereby agriculture constitutes over 90%. Both agriculture and settlements have contributed to huge loss of soil due to irrational use of land and tree cutting for farming, timber of firewood.

With this programme, we're looking to bring on our contribution in tree planting and forest management. We're looking to gather expertise of interns and volunteers in forest management, tree planting and soil management to help the nationals grow trees that are capable to restore the quality of the soil to ensure its fertility. Partners For Conservation welcomes volunteers/interns with different background in the area of tree planting, seeds multiplication, tree nursery and bed-seeds management, forest management and any related field to contribute to ongoing forest restoration campaign.

Applicant should be ready to use personal curiosity, motivation and team spirit to sell NGO positive image at the local and international arena.

Applicants for this programme will be working mainly with office staff although even field works are planned to help the applicant interact with field stakeholders. For instance , during the field planning meeting, assessment/evaluation or audit. A volunteer/intern may also be in the field for information collection and official meeting (representing the organisation in functions, meetings and other conservation gathering).

Interested applicant must be pro-active and versatile. There’s no-specific equipment required for this programme. 

Applicants  will be based and operating from Musanze district. Musanze is one the districts of the Northern Province of Rwanda. Its capital city is Ruhengeri which; is also sometimes known as Musanze. Musanze is Rwanda's most mountainous district, containing the largest part of the Volcanoes National Park and its head office at Kinigi. Five of the eight volcanoes of the Virunga chain (Karisimbi, Bisoke, Sabyinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura) located within the district boundaries. It is also in this district that most of Rwanda's mountain gorillas are found, making it the most popular tourist destination in the country. Musanze's capital, Ruhengeri, is one of the largest cities in Rwanda and serves as a hub for tourists and outdoors.

It is easy for applicant to access the rest corners of the country from Musanze for example Musanze is at 1h drive from Gisenyi and the Democratic Republic of Congo border. Gisenyi is known for its super weekends for water sports lovers. Musanze is also at 2h30 drive from Kigali and at 25 minutes to the Cyanika, the Uganda border.
