    About the program

The Animal Wellness project is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to providing essential care for dogs and farm animals, including horses, in need. This program focuses on improving the quality of life for these animals through daily hands-on assistance, with a particular emphasis on feeding, cleaning, and maintaining the animals' living spaces. Volunteers play a crucial role in supporting the animals' daily needs, ensuring they have access to fresh food, clean water, and comfortable living environments that promote their well-being.

For dogs, the project offers a safe and loving environment, away from the dangers of abandonment or neglect. Volunteers will work directly with the dogs, ensuring they receive daily walks, companionship, and any additional care required. This is essential for building trust and providing them with a sense of security, allowing them to transition into a more stable and caring environment.

For farm animals, such as goats, pigs, and horses, the project ensures that they receive proper care through well-maintained enclosures and daily feeding. Horses, often requiring special attention due to their size and specific care needs, will be given ample space to roam freely, graze, and exercise, promoting their physical and mental health. Volunteers will assist in ensuring that horses and other livestock are comfortable, their living conditions are clean, and their safety is maintained.

The Animal Wellness project strives to create a secure, nurturing environment where both dogs and farm animals can thrive and feel safe. This program is not just about physical care—it’s about offering emotional support, enrichment, and a peaceful space where animals can heal and grow. A well-cared-for animal is more likely to be healthier, happier, and more receptive to human interaction, which is essential for their overall well-being.

An important goal of the Animal Wellness project is to foster a sense of community involvement and responsibility. By engaging local residents and volunteers, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of proper animal care, both for pets like dogs and for farm animals such as horses. Volunteers will be educated on best practices for feeding, handling, and providing basic care to animals, ensuring that they receive the attention and respect they deserve. This knowledge will help build a compassionate culture, where every animal is treated with kindness and responsibility.

In addition to direct care, the project works to educate the public about the unique needs of both dogs and farm animals. Many people may not realize that farm animals like horses require as much attention and care as companion animals. By highlighting the emotional and physical needs of all animals, we hope to shift public perception and encourage more responsible pet ownership, as well as more ethical treatment of farm animals. This educational aspect will ensure that future generations of pet and farm animal owners understand their responsibilities.

Additionally, the project will provide animals with a better quality of life, offering some the opportunity to find loving homes or live in peace. The dogs and farm animals, including horses, that are part of the program may be available for adoption, helping them find new families that will continue to care for them. For those animals that are not adoptable, the program provides a sanctuary where they can live out their lives in safety and comfort.

For the Animal Wellness project, we kindly ask all volunteers to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes that are suitable for outdoor activities. Since we will be working in various weather conditions, please ensure your shoes are waterproof to keep your feet dry and comfortable. Additionally, we recommend bringing raincoats or waterproof ponchos to stay protected in case of rain, as we want everyone to be safe and comfortable while providing the best care for the animals. Thank you for your cooperation!
