Details on arrival
Volunteers may arrive any time, day of the week, and month of the year! Transportation from the airport is provided if it is requested.
All bookings and payments must be processed exclusively through the Volunteer World platform to ensure transparency and proper handling of fees and commissions.
Upon arrival, volunteers will be accommodated in shared dormitory-style rooms, which are included in the standard program price. However, for those looking for additional comfort, we offer an upgrade to a Private Comfort Room with:
• Private room
• Air conditioning (A/C)
• Hot water shower
• Private bathroom
• Total cost: $125 per night (per person)
Since Volunteer World currently displays only standard pricing, volunteers interested in upgrading must first select the standard program price during the booking process. Once we receive your request, we will manually adjust the cost of your offer before finalizing the payment, ensuring everything is correctly processed within the platform.
If you wish to change your accommodation after arrival, please let us know, and we will guide you through the necessary steps within Volunteer World.
Once the volunteer provides us with the flight information (Ticket), including the flight number, arrival time, and date, a reliable company offering transportation services for many years will take us to NATUWA. NATUWA is located 1.5 hours from Juan Santamaria Airport in the province of Alajuela. The cost of transportation from the airport to NATUWA is $160.
