🌟 About the Program

Chideso, short for Child Development Support Organization, is a vibrant community group based in Masasa, Mzuzu city, up north in Malawi. Since 2007, they’ve been working hard to champion children’s rights and boost development through a bunch of supportive projects.

With challenges like poverty, low life expectancy, and child neglect running high, Chideso steps in to bring hope. From early childhood development and vocational training for adults to life skills and HIV/AIDS education, they’re making a real difference in this community.

👶 Typical Tasks

🎨 Early Childhood Development
Help care for and teach little ones aged 2-5 at Chideso’s three lively pre-schools, where 138 kids are already learning and growing.

🛡️ Child Protection Advocacy
Be part of the mission to educate the community about children’s rights, fight child abuse, child labor, and early marriage, and team up with schools, churches, and local groups to protect the most vulnerable.

📚 Education Support to Orphans
Assist by helping provide school fees, uniforms, and learning materials for orphans and vulnerable kids. Get involved in debates, quizzes, and improving school facilities like latrines, and help supply sanitary pads for girls.

💉 HIV and AIDS Prevention
Join hands with local support groups to help prevent, care for, and support people living with HIV/AIDS in the Masasa community.

⚽ Youth Development and Sports
Support youth with leadership and life skills training, career guidance, HIV education, community charity programs, and fun sports and recreational activities.
