    About the program

Help Us Build a Better Future in Mbogolo Village

Just a few years ago, children in Mbogolo Village had to walk up to 14 kilometers daily, often barefoot and under the scorching sun just to attend school. The nearest primary school was over 7 kilometers away, making education an exhausting and discouraging pursuit for many.

This harsh reality contributed to high rates of early marriages, teen pregnancies, and a cycle of poverty and illiteracy that held the entire community back. With no basic facilities or infrastructure, the area remained underdeveloped and underserved.

A New Beginning: Mbogolo Primary School

In July 2021, we took a bold step and began building a primary school from scratch. Today, we proudly serve 260 pupils in Grades 1 through 7.

    So far, we have:

    • Completed seven operational classrooms

    • Administration block

    • Functional ICT & Innovation rooms

    • Functional Medical health care clinic

    • Kitchen & dining areas

This school is more than just a building, it's a catalyst for change. It’s reshaping the socio-economic and educational landscape of Mbogolo Village, providing children with a chance to dream and achieve. Education has a tangible impact and a symbol of hope.

    Be Part of the Change

This is more than volunteering, it’s an opportunity to be part of a movement that transforms lives and builds the foundation for a brighter, more equitable future.

Let us know how you'd like to help. Together, we can make the dream of education, health, and opportunity a reality for Mbogolo Village.

Be a Pioneer. Build the Future.

Becoming a pioneer means more than just volunteering, it means being among the very first to break ground and help build the very first Junior High School classroom ever in this village.

You won’t just be supporting a project, you’ll be making history and a generation of educated and informed population.

    As a pioneer, you'll:

    • Lay the foundation—literally and figuratively—for generations of learners

    • Witness the transformation of an empty space into a place of hope, learning, and opportunity

    • Be part of a legacy that will outlive you and inspire others

While the rest of the school is constructed, you will have helped raise the first walls that symbolize change.

"Great things often start small—your hands could be the ones that build the first step."

    Logistics & Living

    • The school is located in a rural setting, approximately 10 kilometers from the city, where the volunteer house is based.

    • Daily commuting is available from Monday to Friday.

    • Transport options:

      • Motorbike ride at just 3Euros/day

      • Walking route: 1 hour 20 minutes through serene countryside

      • Running: About 1 hour

      • Cycling is also a great option for fitness lovers!
