    Join the Content Creator Program for Impactrip! This project requires volunteers to have experience in website development, graphic design, videography, or photography. Volunteers will initially work with our local team and the NGO staff to understand the specific needs they will be supporting and agree on a set of deliverables for their project period.

    • Website Developers: Apply your understanding of the NGO’s goals and target audience to build a website incorporating relevant content and media to support their charitable initiatives.

    • Graphic Designers: Create a range of marketing materials, including flyers, print advertisements, website content, social media posts, or logos. Contribute ideas for effective campaigning.

    • Videographers and Photographers: Create promotional videos for NGOs lacking resources to support their campaign efforts. Document NGO activities and provide media for promotional purposes.

    • Copywriters and Researchers: Create copy that extends the NGO’s reach across communities and increases online awareness.

    Volunteers need to bring their own laptops, design software (Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent), and/or camera equipment to participate in this project. Please ensure you include all relevant qualifications and/or experience within your application.

    Typical day

    The programs start on Monday, when the orientation day takes place and consists of a morning orientation session and a city tour in the afternoon. On Tuesday, the local team places you in your project and gives you all the support to help you feel integrated. From Tuesday on, you will have a morning, afternoon, or evening shift at the placement and will work for approximately 3 to 5 hours per day. Weekends are free to explore Barcelona, other cities in Spain, or even Europe.

    A typical schedule is as follows:

    08:00 a.m. || Breakfast at the volunteer accommodation

    10:00 a.m. ||  (1) Travel to your project site to join the local staff and begin work, or (2) Explore the city, relax, attend Spanish language lessons, or enroll in other activities if you have an afternoon project

    01:30 p.m. || Lunch is served at the accommodation. In the morning, you can grab a “packed lunch” to have in the city or at your placement.

    02:30 p.m. ||  (1) Travel to your project site to join the local staff and begin work, or (2) Explore the city, relax, attend Spanish language lessons, or enroll in other activities if you have an afternoon project.

    08:00 p.m. || For dinner, you have the freedom to try a local restaurant and experience Barcelona's cuisine or prepare your own meal at the accommodation's kitchen.

    Barcelona is an enchanting seaside city with boundless culture, fabled architecture, sun-drenched beaches, and picturesque neighborhoods. Every month, there's a different celebration or main event in the city. If you happen to be around, check the festivities calendar for that month! Also, Barcelona is located in the region of Catalonia with amazing spots to discover, from paradisiac beaches to outstanding hiking trails and ancient villages. The transportation network in Spain is very complete, which allows you to visit other cities in Spain like Madrid, Sevilla, or Bilbao.

    The local team will give you the best tips to make the most out of your stay.

    In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.

    What’s included?

    - Pick up at the international airport in Barcelona (when arrival is on the weekend) & public transportation transfer to the accommodation - Sunday 

    On Sunday, the ImpacTrip team will be at the airport waiting for you with a big sign and a smile on their face! :)

    If you arrive prior to Sunday, you will still be able to receive an airport pickup and our team can transport you to the accommodation, but you will need to pay an extra fee for this service.

    - Accommodation at a dormitory at a social hostel, female dormitory or mixed dormitory with a private bathroom; bed sheets are provided

    - Two meals a day everyday: Breakfast and dinner (Local style. Vegetarian, gluten-free, and meals for lactose-intolerant are also available upon request)

    - Shared use of the common room, outdoor area, and free WIFI

    - Orientation event on arrival (including an introduction to Spain and Spanish culture, volunteer experience, an overview of programs, practical information, and safety guidelines)

    Airport Pickup at Barcelona-El Prat Airport

    Accommodation

    You will be accommodated in a social hostel with a meaningful social mission in Barcelona. The Hostel has the capacity to accommodate up to 320 conscious travelers who want to visit Barcelona in a responsible way. There are various common areas such as the dining room, the living room, room balconies, and outside areas.  

    The hostel is in a neighborhood where you can find everything you need: a mall, local coffee shops, supermarkets, ATMs, a hospital, police, and most utilities you will need are just around the corner. The Hostel is 10 minutes walking from the metro stop and has many buses that can bring you to the city center in 1 hour.

    But what is really unique about it is its social concept. The hostel is actually a social business for a non-profit organization run in the same building. The non-profit develops a wide range of programs, campaigns, and activities for children and youth, their families, and third sector organizations.

    Food & Beverages

    We will provide breakfast and dinner at the hostel everyday. The hostel restaurant offers meals with fresh local ingredients everyday for all volunteers in a very Spanish style and they are prepared to accommodate most diet restrictions such as vegan and vegetarians, gluten-free and lactose intolerant.
