This daycare in Ilboru, Arusha supports around 20 children aged 2 - 5 from vulnerable families and single mothers, offering them a safe and caring place to stay while their parents are at work. Here, the children can learn English, develop early skills, and build a strong foundation that will help them later enter private school and improve their future opportunities. Instead of being left alone at home, they receive proper care, supervision, and guidance throughout the day.
Volunteers help with learning activities, creative projects, playtime, and daily routines, creating a warm and stimulating environment where each child can grow, learn, and feel supported. You’re encouraged to bring your own ideas like storytelling, songs, games, or anything fun and engaging for the kids. You’ll be working closely with the daycare’s caretaker.
You don’t need any prior experience. What matters is that you enjoy being around children, feel comfortable entertaining them, take initiative, and are open to learning and adapting. And of course, we’ll always be there to support you with any questions or challenges you may face.
