    About the program

About Samaritan Children beyond the classroom

Our outreach program is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where volunteers will live and work close to the local community. The project site is located in the southern part of the city, less than an hour from the airport. Volunteers stay in safe, comfortable accommodation and have the chance to experience the vibrant culture, friendly people, and beautiful surroundings of Dar es Salaam.

Volunteers will work hand-in-hand with our dedicated NGO staff, who know the families and children personally. Together, we will visit underprivileged households to deliver food, hygiene items, clothing, and other essential supplies. At the same time, volunteers help us document stories, raise awareness, and inspire more support worldwide.

We expect volunteers to bring compassion, openness, and creativity, as well as a willingness to engage closely with families in need. Each volunteer joining this program is required to organize a fundraiser before arrival, as the funds raised are essential for purchasing items for outreach.

In return, we offer a warm, welcoming environment, full guidance from our staff, and the opportunity to create a direct and lasting impact on the lives of children and their families. Volunteers can expect not only to contribute to meaningful community change but also to build unforgettable friendships and personal growth through this experience.

    Our mission

To bring hope, care, and essential support to children from underprivileged families, ensuring that their lives at home are as safe, healthy, and nurturing as the education they receive at school.

    Our Goals

    • Meet Basic Needs: Provide children and their families with food, clothing, hygiene items, and school supplies to ease daily struggles.
    • Enhance Living Conditions: Support families in improving their homes and surroundings through thoughtful outreach and fundraising efforts.
    • Empower Volunteers: Give volunteers a meaningful, hands-on experience in community outreach, fundraising, and advocacy while making a real difference.
    • Share Stories, Inspire Change: Document and share the lives and challenges of families to raise awareness and global support.
    • Create Lasting Impact: Build strong connections between the school, families, and volunteers to foster sustainable, positive change in the community
