    Program Overview:

    Experience the breathtaking beauty of Tanzania's landscapes through a Serengeti Safari, Maasai Culture Tour and a visit to the Kilimanjaro Region while making a meaningful contribution to its vibrant communities. Our "Bridging Cultures" program uniquely combines an unforgettable safari adventure with impactful volunteer work in Arusha, offering a transformative journey that blends cultural immersion with service. This isn't just a volunteer trip; it's a chance to connect deeply with Tanzanian culture, contribute to sustainable development, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

    Program Components:

    This program is carefully structured to balance meaningful volunteer work with the incredible experiences Tanzania offers. It's divided into two distinct phases:

    Phase 1: Siret Safari Camping Adventure (3 Days/2 Nights)

    • Immersive Safari Experience: Embark on a thrilling safari adventure in one of Tanzania's renowned national parks (e.g., Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngorongoro Crater:  Witness the majestic African wildlife in its natural habitat, observing elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and countless other species.
    • Expert Guiding: Accompanied by experienced and knowledgeable safari guides, you'll gain insightful knowledge about the ecosystem, animal behavior, and conservation efforts.
    • Comfortable Accommodation: Enjoy comfortable lodging at a reputable camp near the chosen national park. (Specific accommodation will be detailed in your pre-departure information).
    • Delicious Meals: Savor delicious meals featuring fresh, local ingredients, providing a taste of Tanzanian cuisine.

    Phase 2: Cultural Immersion (2 Days/1 Night)

    This phase offers a deep dive into Tanzanian culture:

    • Maasai Cultural Day Trip: Experience the rich traditions of the Maasai people with a guided tour to a Maasai village. Learn about their customs, traditions, and way of life through interactions with Maasai elders and community members. Participate in cultural activities, including traditional dances and storytelling.
    • Kilimanjaro Region Excursion (Day 1): Embark on a scenic hike to the stunning Materuni Falls, surrounded by lush greenery. Afterward, indulge in a captivating coffee tour, learning about the journey from bean to cup. Spend the night in Moshi Region (dinner not included) and wake up to a nice breakfast in the valleys
    • Kilimanjaro Region Excursion (Day 2): Relax and rejuvenate at the natural hot springs, enjoying a refreshing swim in the therapeutic waters. Overnight stay in the Kilimanjaro region will allow you to appreciate the stunning scenery. (Dinner is not included on this overnight stay)

    Phase 3: Community Outreach in Arusha

    Possible placements include (but are not limited to):

    • Education: Assisting teachers in local schools, developing educational materials, mentoring students, or teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
    • Women's Empowerment: Contributing to women's empowerment initiatives through skills training, business development support, or crafting workshops.
    • Orphans and Vulnerable Children: Working with organizations that support vulnerable children, potentially providing care, mentorship, or assistance with daily activities.
    • Community Development: Engaging in various community development projects, such as infrastructure improvement, assisting with construction efforts, or participating in community-led initiatives.

    Project Placement Process:

    1. Pre-departure Consultation: Before your arrival, you'll have a consultation to discuss your skills, interests, and experience to ensure the best project placement including a 100+ page preparation guidebook and visa application support.
    2. Project Orientation: Upon arrival in Arusha, you'll receive a comprehensive orientation on the chosen project, community context, and safety protocols.
    3. Project Supervision: Throughout your volunteer placement, you will be closely supervised by experienced local coordinators and staff, providing guidance and support.
    4. Regular Check-ins: Your program coordinator will regularly check in with you to ensure your experience is both positive and productive.

    Accommodation and Meals (Arusha Phase):

    During the community outreach phase, you'll stay in comfortable and safe accommodations in Arusha. Meals will be provided, offering a blend of local and international cuisine.

    • International flights.
    • Visas and travel insurance (mandatory).

    • Tips for service staff (optional but appreciated).

    In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.

      And of course the kitchen is yours to use! We have a fabulous chef who can guide you to local supermarkets if you want to buy your own personal food and snacks!

      During orientation you will be shown tasty and affordable places to get lunch during your work day. You will have a good variety of local and western food places. There are amazing cafe's, bistro's and affordable western restaurants to enjoy a burger, salad, seafood etc!

      The nearest airport is Arusha Airport (ARK) in Arusha. We assist you to find cheap flights to Tanzania. FIND CHEAP FLIGHTS

      Travel Insurance

      Details on arrival

      Placement begins on the first Monday of each week, except for the last week of each month. Placements still available during public holidays. Please book according to your arrival/landing date, to endeavour to arrive on a Sunday and start orientation on a Monday.
