The clinic provides free neutering and vaccinations for street dogs and cats.
Using minimally invasive techniques and modern anesthetics, the team aims to return animals to their communities on the same day whenever appropriate.
This volunteer experience is best suited to independent individuals who are comfortable working with minimal supervision and using their own initiative.

🚐 How Do I Get to the Placement?
Volunteers will live on-site alongside their coordinators, other volunteers and project staff.
Any transportation required to reach the clinic or take part in program activities will be arranged by the local support team each day.
When you arrive, you will receive:
🩺 What Will I Be Doing?
You will work closely with the veterinary team, observing and assisting with a variety of daily tasks.
Depending on your experience and the needs of the clinic, duties may include:
Patient admission
Preparing animals for surgery
Assisting with surgery
Monitoring patients
Supporting wound care
Monitoring animals during recovery
Assisting with patient discharge
Keeping the clinic clean
Helping with general clinic tasks
Volunteers without veterinary experience may also:
Join the clinic’s animal-catching team in the local community
Help with community outreach
Support surveys
Assist with animal admissions
Update patient logs
Help with cleaning
Observe and monitor patients
Complete other tasks required by the clinic during their stay
Volunteers are expected to work approximately five or six days per week, depending on the clinic’s opening days during their stay.
The work can be physically demanding, but the end result is always well worth the effort.
Clinical involvement is based on your qualifications, experience, confidence and the veterinary team’s assessment. Participation in any particular procedure cannot be guaranteed.

The clinic employs nine local staff members, including:
Veterinarians
Veterinary nurses
Animal-catching staff
You will also live alongside international volunteers participating in a variety of animal welfare and conservation programs, creating a more sociable and varied volunteer experience outside your working hours.
🎒 What Should I Bring?
We recommend bringing:
Lightweight work clothes that you do not mind sweating in or getting dirty, such as shorts and T-shirts
Long-sleeved tops and trousers to protect against mosquito bites in the evenings
A sunhat, cap or bandana
A torch or flashlight
An alarm clock
A suitable power adapter
Your own towels
Comfortable shoes or sandals
Your feet may get wet throughout the year due to the nature of some of the work.
You should also consider bringing:
Lightweight waterproof clothing, such as a poncho
An unlocked mobile phone if you plan to purchase a Thai SIM card
A simple first-aid kit with plasters, bandages and antiseptic
Medication for common stomach issues
High-factor sunscreen
Sunglasses
🌧️ Optional and Rainy-Season Items
During the wetter months, we also recommend bringing:
Plenty of insect repellent
Boots and a good supply of socks
Additional clothing, particularly underwear
Quick-drying clothing
Warmer clothes for cooler or rainy evenings
Drying clean clothes can be more challenging during wet and humid weather, so bringing additional workwear may be helpful.

Our coordinators can be busy, but they operate an open-door policy, so you can speak with them whenever you require support.
Each week, Volunteer Coordinators hold a volunteer meeting to:
Provide updates about the animals
Discuss any work-related issues that have arisen
Answer questions about the animals
Give volunteers an opportunity to discuss their experience
Share important program updates
