Join a unique group volunteering program deep in the Brazilian Amazon, your experience will start at a remote jungle camp on a tributary of the Rio Negro, approximately 1.5 hours by speedboat from Manaus. From there will focus on different preselected locations to study. This project combines hands-on biodiversity research, conservation action, cultural exchange, and unforgettable Amazon jungle experiences.
Working alongside experienced jungle survival specialists and local guides, volunteers will contribute to real biodiversity studies while supporting local communities and promoting sustainable eco-tourism in the region.
Project Focus
The core of this program is biodiversity monitoring and conservation. Volunteers will help document wildlife and plant species in selected jungle areas, contributing valuable data to a dedicated project, where all findings will be recorded and shared openly for scientific and educational use.

This is a group volunteering project, running several times a year, and is suitable for motivated volunteers with an interest in wildlife, ecology, conservation, or adventure-based learning.
What You’ll Be Doing
Activities vary depending on the season and research focus, but typically include:

Wildlife and plant species identification (mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, insects, and flora)

Biodiversity surveys and field observations

Uploading and documenting findings on the projects database.

Learning basic field research methods and jungle tracking skills

Environmental clean-ups in forest and river areas

Community visits and informal environmental education activities
No advanced scientific background is required—training and guidance are provided in the field.

What is expected from you?
No previous experience is required however we do expect you to try to part of the team and work together with the other volunteers and staff. Being flexible and openminded is very important.

We will provide a kit list with everything you need to bring and what we will provide (hammocks, netting, etc).
