    About the program

Volunteer in Thailand with IVHQ, the world’s leading volunteer travel organization trusted by more than 155000 volunteers since 2007.

Make a meaningful impact by supporting childcare centers in the relaxed coastal city of Hua Hin. Located along the Gulf of Thailand, this sunny region is known for its beaches, welcoming communities, and laid back atmosphere, creating an enjoyable and supportive environment for volunteers who love working with children.

You will help enrich early childhood education by assisting teachers, supervising young learners, and creating engaging activities that support their development. This fully hosted experience allows you to contribute to community wellbeing while enjoying life in a warm and friendly seaside destination.

Your Role and Impact: The primary goal of this project is to improve daily care and learning opportunities for young children from low income families. Many childcare centers operate with limited staff and resources, so volunteers provide essential support that helps maintain structured routines, fosters positive learning environments, and gives children the attention they need to thrive.

As a Childcare volunteer in Hua Hin, your work will be hands on and rewarding:

    • Classroom Support: Helping teachers with simple lessons, introducing basic English words, and guiding early learning activities.
    • Child Supervision: Supporting children during playtime, meals, and daily routines to ensure they feel safe, cared for, and encouraged.
    • Creative Activities: Leading crafts, songs, games, and interactive storytelling that help build confidence, social skills, and creativity.
    • Center Assistance: Tidying classrooms, organizing supplies, and helping maintain a bright, welcoming environment.

Volunteers work closely with local teachers, childcare staff, and other international volunteers. Local educators provide guidance on daily routines, cultural expectations, and appropriate activities, while volunteers bring fresh energy, creativity, and one-on-one support that makes a meaningful difference in each child’s day.

No special equipment is required for this program. All materials needed for classroom activities are provided. Volunteers need only bring comfortable clothing suitable for working with children and any personal stationery they prefer to use.

No previous childcare experience is necessary. Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in supporting young children make this program highly fulfilling.

Program Details and Accommodation: This fully hosted volunteer experience includes accommodation in a volunteer house and three meals each day. Transport to and from your placement is provided. Volunteers gain hands on childcare experience, connect with others from around the world, and spend weekends exploring Hua Hin’s beaches, lively night markets, and nearby national parks. The program runs year round and offers a supportive, enjoyable opportunity to contribute to early childhood development in a coastal community.
