Screening / Medical Check-Up
Volunteers will assist in taking measurements such as weight, height, and BMI for both children and adults. Additional checks will include temperature, cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure. Approximately 3,000 patients are expected to receive medical attention during the outreach. Each patient will be provided with a prescription for any required medication, which can be collected at our dispensary.
Public Health Education
As part of the outreach, volunteers will support public health education initiatives, raising awareness on essential health topics. One-on-one counselling sessions will also be offered to patients who require guidance or support.
Dispensary
Common medications for illnesses and symptoms such as coughs, headaches, colds, malaria, hypertension, and arthritis will be distributed upon presentation of prescriptions.
Freebies
A dedicated stand at the outreach venue will provide beneficiaries with free essential items, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, soaps, sanitary pads, and sweets.

At Future for Africa, we believe that the best way to extend knowledge and care is through active community engagement. Consultations with senior health practitioners at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital have confirmed the impact of such initiatives, which is why our humanitarian medical volunteer program places strong emphasis on stakeholder involvement and community-driven solutions. Through this program, volunteers gain meaningful hands-on experience while contributing to the health and well-being of communities across Northern Ghana.
