Start Dates:
Programs start on the first and third Monday of each month and are available year round.
- Arrival and Orientation:
- Designated Arrival Day: Sunday.
- Arrival Airport: Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi (NBO), Kenya.
- Arrival Notes: Airport pick up is included as part of the fully hosted experience. Volunteers are met at the airport by a member of the local team and travel onward to the Maasai community, with travel time varying depending on road and weather conditions.
- Orientation: A 1 day Orientation is included and typically begins on your selected Monday start date. This session covers an introduction to local staff, Kenyan and Maasai customs, safety guidelines, program expectations, and an overview of the volunteer placement.
