Our work also extends to surrounding rural communities, including low-income and nomadic settlements where we implement water, education, and healthcare projects. Volunteers may travel to these communities to capture field activities, interviews, and project documentation.

Accommodation is arranged in a shared volunteer house or guesthouse in Bolgatanga. The setting is modest but comfortable, with access to basic amenities such as electricity, running water, Wi-Fi (though connectivity can sometimes be unstable), and local markets nearby. 

This placement is ideal for individuals who are adaptable, open-minded, and excited to experience community-centered development work firsthand.

As part of the Digital Marketing Team, you will enhance the organization’s marketing strategy and create regular social media content, including:

• Newsletters

• Blog articles

• Instagram and TikTok videos

• Instagram and Facebook posts

• Photography and video documentation of daily activities

You will learn how to design, plan, and effectively implement a social media and marketing strategy. Through weekly reports and analytics tracking, you will evaluate the effectiveness of promotional strategies and adapt content accordingly.

You will collaborate closely with:

• Local partners

• Program teams (WASH, Education, Health, Fundraising)

• The fundraising department to promote active campaigns

Your role will be tailored to your skills, interests, and learning goals, as well as organizational needs. Tasks may include:

• Enhancing the organization’s social media and marketing strategy

• Designing and implementing a structured social media plan

• Creating monthly blog posts and quarterly newsletters

• Producing engaging multimedia content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok

• Recording and editing videos of field activities

• Designing and managing promotional campaigns

• Analyzing reach, engagement, and campaign performance

• Researching and applying current social media trends

• Increasing brand awareness through strategic storytelling

• Engaging with previous volunteers and interns to strengthen our global network
