Details on arrival
You will arrive at Johannesburg Airport, we recommend you get in contact with Sandy from Travelbuggz at time of booking. Sandy can help your safe travel from the airport to the sanctuary for a small fee. She will arrange to meet you at the airport and safely transfer you to the bus. She also offers overnight accommodation if you arrive too late for the bus or if things don't go as planned (e.g. plane delays).
In Tzaneen, you will be met by one of the foundations staff at the local bus stop and taken to the foundation. There, you are shown your accommodation and possible room mate. After a short orientation, you are introduced to fellow volunteers and sit down to the evening for a vegan meal and the stories of the day. The following morning, you will meet up with the volunteer co-ordinator and go through the main orientation with everyone else who arrived. During a tour around the sanctuary, you can also connect to the monkeys, before getting active yourself in the afternoon.
