Start Dates:
Programs start every Monday and are available year round.
Arrival and Orientation:
- Designated Arrival Day: Sunday.
- Arrival Airport: Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo (CMB), Sri Lanka.
- Arrival Notes: Airport pick up is included as part of the fully hosted experience. Volunteers are met at the airport by a member of the local team and transferred to the turtle conservation project location, with travel time varying depending on traffic conditions.
- Orientation: A 1 day Orientation is included and typically begins on your selected Monday start date. This session covers an introduction to local staff, Sri Lankan customs, safety guidelines, program expectations, and an overview of the turtle conservation placement.
