Start Dates:
Programs start every Wednesday and are available year round.
Arrival and Orientation:
- Designated Arrival Day: Wednesday (your program start date).
- Arrival Airport: Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ), Zanzibar, Tanzania.
- Arrival Notes: Airport pick up is included as part of the fully hosted experience. Volunteers should arrive in Zanzibar on their Wednesday start date, with access to accommodation available from the afternoon. You will be met at the airport by a member of the local team and transferred to the volunteer accommodation.
- Orientation: Orientation takes place on Wednesday afternoon and or the following day. It covers an introduction to Zanzibar, local customs, safety guidelines, program expectations, and an overview of the teaching placement.
