Elephant Conservation Experience

- Program placements start on the first and third Monday of every month.
- Work at an elephant sanctuary near Chitwan National Park caring for rescued, neglected, injured or elderly elephants.

Start Dates:
Programs start every Monday and are available year round.
Arrival and Orientation:
- Designated Arrival Day: Sunday.
- Arrival Airport: Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (KTM), Nepal.
- Arrival Notes: Airport pick up is included as part of the fully hosted experience. Volunteers are met at the airport by a member of the local team before traveling onward to the project location. Travel time varies depending on road conditions and the destination.
- Orientation: A 1 day Orientation is included and typically begins on your selected Monday start date. This session covers an introduction to local staff, Nepalese customs, safety guidelines, program expectations, and an overview of the volunteer placement.
